I work at the Sage Therapy Centre at 365 Western Boulevard, Nottingham, NG8 5GS. I also work on the telephone or online via a secure platform.
  • When do you work?
I am available all day Tuesday and Wednesday, Saturday mornings and some evenings.
  • How much do you charge?
A 50-minute session is £45. Students or those on low income £30 per session.
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
In-person sessions need to be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Telephone or remote sessions need to be cancelled a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Late cancellation will result in the full fee needing to be paid.
  • How many sessions do I need?
The amount of sessions you need is entirely your choice. Some clients only need 2 or 3 sessions and others prefer longer time counselling to work through their problems. I will not expect you to commit to a set amount of sessions.
  • How do you work?
I am a person-centred therapist so I take a non-directive approach to therapy. This means that you are in control of your therapy. You can share with me whatever problems or concerns you choose and you can tell me as much information as you are comfortable with at the time. I will help you explore your feelings in a safe environment so that you gain a better understanding of your ‘self’.
  • Are my therapy sessions confidential?
Everything you share in therapy is confidential except the following: - If you disclose, money laundering, drug trafficking or terrorism - If I am asked to speak in a court case. - If I think there is cause for serious harm to you or others. I would always aim to discuss the need for sharing confidential information with you in advance. I have regular sessions with my supervisor, where I may need to discuss aspects of our sessions but your identity will always be kept anonymous. I am a member of the National Counselling Society so I abide by their code of ethics.
